June 13 2011.John Mitchell kept to his winning ways at the second round of the Goldspeed ACU British Quadcross Championship at Duns in Scotland yesterday, taking a second and first place in the two races and the overall.Mitchell took an early lead in race one to pull a gap on Jason Macbeth and Paul Winrow. Winrow passed Macbeth for second and the race looked set until Mitchell stalled on the penultimate lap, gifting the win to the reigning champion. Mitchell took second ahead of Macbeth.Paul Holmes took an early lead in race two but a charging Mark Watson made an early move with Mitchell in tow. Mitchell made his move over the tabletop and as Watson fought to regain the lead he crashed, letting Holmes past. KTM’s James Hellewell continued his great start in the under 21 category taking a further 47 points ahead of Cain Rodgers and George Callaway.The next round of the championship is at Tinkerhill, Northen Ireland on July 2nd.
