June 6 2011. The Goldspeed ACU British Quad Championship heads to Duns in Scotland for round two of the series this weekend. Former champion John Mitchell is right back on form on the ATV World Yamaha, taking two straight wins at the opening round and maintaining that event-winning form in the Scotish championship in recent weeks. Carl Bunce and James Hellewell are hot on his heals in the points race with Hellewell also leading the Under 21 Championship ahead of Stef Murphy and Cian Rogers. Reigning champion Paul Winrow had a poor opening round by his standards and will be aiming to close the points gap. In the ACU British Masters there had been some frantic and fast-paced action with Paul McConway just ahead of Geoff Sharp and Darren Bridge in the points. Over 60 riders are entered in the various youth and support classes, so there promises to be plenty of action throughout the day. Practice starts at 9:30am. The Duns circuit is situated 15 miles inland from Berwick-upon-Tweed and is easily accessible from main routes into Scotland. From Duns take the A6105 west and turn right by the sign for the golf course. The postcode for the venue is TD11 3NS. Further information about the track can be found at www.dunsmotocross.co.uk
